Heute habe ich einen Segelkurs gemacht. Wir sind früh am Morgen zum Hafen gefahren. Dort haben wir ein kleines Segelboot bekommen. Unser Lehrer hat uns die verschiedenen Teile des Bootes gezeigt.

Today I took a sailing course. We drove to the harbor early in the morning. There we got a small sailboat. Our teacher showed us the different parts of the boat.

Zuerst haben wir gelernt, wie man das Segel setzt. Das Segel ist das große Tuch, das den Wind einfängt. Mit dem Wind kann das Boot fahren. Man muss das Segel gut festmachen, damit es nicht davonfliegt.

First, we learned how to set the sail. The sail is the large piece of cloth that catches the wind. With the wind, the boat can move. You have to fasten the sail well so that it doesn't fly away.
