"Guten Tag, ich heiße Anna Müller. Ich habe mich nicht gut gefühlt und brauche einen Termin beim Arzt." So beginnt Annas Anruf in der Praxis von Herrn Schmidt. Die Frau im Büro fragt: "Was haben Sie denn?" Anna antwortet: "Ich habe seit gestern Fieber und starke Schmerzen im Kopf."

"Good afternoon, my name is Anna Müller. I haven't been feeling well and I need an appointment with the doctor." That is how Anna's call to Mr. Schmidt's practice begins. The woman at the front desk asks: "What seems to be the problem?" Anna replies: "I've had a fever since yesterday and a bad headache."

Die Frau im Büro sagt: "Sie sollen heute Nachmittag um 15 Uhr kommen. Der Arzt soll Sie untersuchen." Anna geht pünktlich in die Praxis. Im Wartezimmer sitzen schon einige Patienten. Herr Schmidt ist sehr freundlich. Er untersucht Anna und fragt: "Haben Sie auch Schmerzen im Hals?"

The woman at the front desk says: "Please come this afternoon at 3 p.m. The doctor will examine you." Anna arrives at the practice on time. Several patients are already sitting in the waiting room. Mr. Schmidt is very friendly. He examines Anna and asks: "Do you also have a sore throat?"

Der Arzt rät Anna: "Sie sollen dieses Medikament nehmen und sich gut ausruhen. Hier ist ein Rezept für die Apotheke. Sie dürfen nicht arbeiten." Anna holt die Tabletten. Sie hofft, bald wieder gesund zu sein.

The doctor advises Anna: "You should take this medicine and get plenty of rest. Here is a prescription for the pharmacy. You must not work." Anna picks up the tablets. She hopes to be well again soon.
