In today's era, where digitalization and globalization are advancing relentlessly, the question arises as to whether the principles of the Enlightenment, such as reason and emancipation, still hold validity. The dialectic of the Enlightenment, as described by Theodor W. Adorno and Max Horkheimer, seems to have reached a new dimension in modern society. On one hand, technology enables unprecedented freedom and access to information; on the other hand, it harbors the danger of manipulation and surveillance, which undermines individual autonomy.

A central theme of the Enlightenment was the liberation of humans from self-imposed immaturity. Yet today, we are confronted with a flood of information that is often consumed unfiltered and uncritically. Reason, once the foundation of the Enlightenment, seems to be losing significance in postmodernity. Instead, emotions and subjective truths dominate public discourse, leading to the fragmentation of society. The question of how to preserve the ideals of the Enlightenment in this complex landscape remains.
