In today's globalized world, the German economy faces an increasing number of challenges arising from the need to align economic activities with ecological sustainability. The so-called 'continuity economy', based on the principle of conserving resources and reducing waste, requires companies to fundamentally transform their business models. This transformation is not just a matter of compliance but also a strategic necessity to remain competitive in the long term.

A key element of the continuity economy is the circular economy, which aims to keep products and materials in the economic cycle for as long as possible. For German companies, this means they must not only rethink their production processes but also their supply chains and distribution channels. Implementing recycling and reuse strategies requires significant investment in new technologies and infrastructures. Additionally, companies must focus their innovation on developing products that are more durable and easier to repair or recycle.
