Es war einmal ein kleines Mädchen. Das Mädchen trug jeden Tag eine rote Mütze. Die Großmutter hatte ihr die Mütze geschenkt. So hieß das Mädchen Rotkäppchen.

Eines Tages sagte die Mutter: Du sollst der Großmutter Kuchen und Wein bringen. Sie ist krank und wohnt im Wald. Das Mädchen ging mit dem Essen in den Wald.

One day her mother said: You should take cake and wine to your grandmother. She is ill and lives in the forest. The girl went into the forest with the food.

Im Wald kam ein großer Wolf. Er war hungrig, aber er war freundlich. Er fragte: Wohin gehst du? Das Mädchen sagte: Ich gehe zu meiner Großmutter im Wald.

In the forest a big wolf appeared. He was hungry, but he was friendly. He asked: Where are you going? The girl said: I am going to my grandmother in the forest.

Der Wolf sagte: Die Blumen sind hier so schön. Das Mädchen blieb stehen und nahm Blumen mit. Der Wolf ging schnell zum Haus der Großmutter.

The wolf said: The flowers here are so beautiful. The girl stopped and picked some flowers. The wolf went quickly to the grandmother's house.

Der Wolf kam zuerst zum Haus. Er aß die Großmutter und legte sich in ihr Bett. Dann kam das Mädchen und fragte: Großmutter, warum sind deine Augen so groß?

The wolf reached the house first. He ate the grandmother and lay down in her bed. Then the girl came and asked: Grandmother, why are your eyes so big?

Ein Mann kam zu dem Haus. Er hörte eine laute Stimme. Er sah den Wolf im Bett und half der Großmutter. Am Ende waren die Leute glücklich.

A man came to the house. He heard a loud voice. He saw the wolf in the bed and helped the grandmother. In the end the people were happy.
