Heute habe ich ein Vorstellungsgespräch. Ich bin aufgeregt und nervös. Ich habe mich gut vorbereitet und trage schöne Kleidung.

Today I have a job interview. I am excited and nervous. I have prepared well and I am wearing nice clothes.

Ich komme pünktlich zu der Firma. Im Büro wartet eine freundliche Frau. Sie begrüßt mich und zeigt mir ein Zimmer. Dort sitzt der Chef.

I arrive at the company on time. A friendly woman is waiting in the office. She greets me and shows me to a room. The boss is sitting there.

Der Chef fragt: Erzählen Sie etwas über sich. Ich erzähle: Ich heiße Lena und wohne in der Stadt. Ich habe in einer anderen Firma gearbeitet.

The boss says: Tell me something about yourself. I say: My name is Lena and I live in the city. I have worked at another company.

Dann fragt der Chef: Warum wollen Sie hier arbeiten? Ich sage: Die Arbeit ist interessant und ich lerne gern neue Dinge. Das passt gut zu mir.

Then the boss asks: Why do you want to work here? I say: The work is interesting and I like learning new things. It suits me well.

Am Ende fragt der Chef, was ich gut kann. Ich sage: Ich spreche gut Deutsch und Englisch. Ich arbeite gern mit Menschen. Der Chef ist zufrieden.

At the end the boss asks what I am good at. I say: I speak German and English well. I like working with people. The boss is satisfied.

Eine Woche später bekomme ich einen Anruf. Ich habe die Stelle bekommen! Ich freue mich sehr und erzähle es meinen Eltern sofort.

A week later I get a phone call. I got the job! I am very happy and tell my parents right away.
